Her storied career began as a fashion model, notable for her appearances in advertisements for Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, and Victoria's Secret. It was in 2002 when her breakthrough moment in acting came as she was cast by Denzel Washington in the biographical drama Antwone Fisher.
