**João Vicente de Castro** (born **João Vicente Barbosa da Silva de Castro** on *27 March 1983* in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a **Brazilian actor and comedian** best known for co‑founding the influential YouTube comedy collective *Porta dos Fundos*. Raised in a creative household, his mother Gilda Midani worked as a wardrobe stylist while his father Tarso de Castro was a celebrated journalist and one of the original founders of the satirical newspaper *O Pasquim*. After completing a degree in advertising and spending several years in the São Paulo advertising scene, Castro discovered a passion for performance and quickly transitioned to acting, leveraging his comedic instincts and keen sense of timing.

In 2012 he helped launch *Porta dos Fundos* alongside Gregório Duvivier, Fábio Porchat, Ian SBF and Antonio Tabet, a venture that reshaped Brazilian digital humor and earned international recognition. That same year he made his television debut playing a fictionalized version of himself in the Multishow miniseries *O Fantástico Mundo de Gregório*.
