James Rolleston: Movies & Box Office

James Rolleston (born 8 June 1997) is a respected and distinguished actor hailing from New Zealand. He is best known for his showcased talents in the films Boy and The Dark Horse, gaining significant recognition in the cinematic space. The Dark Horse was a notable highlight in his career, released in October 2014 and making its world premiere at the esteemed 2014 Toronto International Film Festival on 4 September. Rolleston holds the distinct honour of making his screen debut in the film Boy, under the diligent direction of Taika Waititi. He capably took on the challenging main role of a child who idolises his father. This film became the most successful local film released in New Zealand, marking a significant achievement in Rolleston's career. In 2014, Rolleston expanded his acting repertoire by starring in two more films - the critically acclaimed drama The Dark Horse, and the riveting action movie The Dead Lands.
