Jack Weston, born as Morris Weinstein on August 21, 1924, was a famed American actor. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he was primarily known for his comic roles, but he occasionally displayed his acting prowess in more intense portrayals as well. He showed his talent in many major films such as, 'The Cincinnati Kid', 'The Thomas Crown Affair', 'Gator', 'Cuba', 'High Road to China', 'Dirty Dancing', 'Ishtar', and 'Short Circuit 2'. On television, Weston had numerous appearances, co-starring in series like 'The Hathaways' and CBS television series spinoff, 'The Four Seasons'. He was also nominated for a Golden Globe Award in 1976 and a Tony Award in 1981.

In his early days, Weston began with the American Theatre Wing in New York, under Lee Strasberg. His first marriage was to Marge Redmond, a local actress who later gained recognition in the ABC sitcom 'The Flying Nun'. They had no children and divorced in the 1980s. His second marriage was to Laurie Gilkes, with whom he had one child. Sadly, Weston lost his life to lymphoma on May 3, 1996, at the age of 71. His younger brother Anthony Spinelli, originally named Sam Weinstein, also pursued the arts. Jack and his brother, children of Jewish parents, were lifelong Democrats.
