Isis Hainsworth is a Scottish actress who has rapidly become a notable presence on both stage and screen since her professional debut in 2016. Born on 22 September 1998 in Edinburgh, Scotland, she spent her formative years attending Leith Walk Primary School and Drummond Community High School, where she supplemented her standard curriculum with Higher and Advanced Higher drama classes at the nearby Leith Academy. Early enthusiasm for performance was nurtured through participation in local theatre groups such as Lothian Youth Arts & Musicals Company and Strange Town Theatre, the latter of which recommended her for the acclaimed production Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour. After completing her secondary education in 2016, Hainsworth moved to London to pursue a career in acting, quickly securing small television roles in the BBC One miniseries One of Us (as Maddy) and the ITV drama In Plainsight. Her breakthrough on the West End arrived in 2017 when she assumed the lead role of Orla in the stage adaptation of Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour at the Duke of York's Theatre, replacing Melissa Allan.
