Franka Potente, born July 22 1974, is a renowned German actress. Her acting journey commenced with a comedy movie 'After Five in the Forest Primeval' in 1995 where her outstanding performance fetched her a Bavarian Film Award as Best Young Actress. She shot to fame in 1998 with her stellar performance in the action thriller 'Run Lola Run', which earned her a BAMBI Award for Best Actress. Her critical acclaim further rose with her role in the television film Opernball. From German productions, she successfully transitioned into Hollywood with the biographical crime film Blow in 2001, and gained wider recognition with her roles in The Bourne Identity (2002) and The Bourne Supremacy (2004). She has skillfully portrayed multifaceted characters such as communist revolutionary Tamara Bunke in Che (2008), and psychologist Anita Gregory in The Conjuring 2 (2016).
