Emilio Buale, born Ludwig Emilio Buale Coka on 26 November 1972 in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, is a distinguished Equatoguinean‑born Spanish actor whose career spans more than two and a half decades. At the age of six he migrated with his family to Madrid, where he grew up in a multicultural environment that later helped him become a polyglot fluent in Spanish, English, French, and the Bubi language Bube. Although initially studying to become a construction engineer and working as a fireman, his destiny changed in 1995 when casting director Paco Pino spotted him waiting in a subway station and offered him the role of Ombasi in Imanol Uribe’s film Bwana (1996). Accepting the part, Buale travelled to Almería and made his cinematic debut alongside celebrated Spanish actors Andrés Pajares and María Barranco, marking the start of an extensive filmography.
