Dominique Thorne, born on November 5, 1997, is an American actress breaking into the spotlight with her stunning performances in films such as 'If Beale Street Could Talk' (2018) and 'Judas and the Black Messiah' (2021). She gained further recognition by taking on the role of Riri Williams / Ironheart in the Marvel Cinematic Universe feature film, 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever', which aired in 2022. Dominique is on track to reignite this character in the upcoming Disney+ miniseries 'Ironheart'. In 2024, she is set to star in the Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck film 'Freaky Tales'. Born in New York City to Trinidadian immigrants, Dominique's acting journey started with her education at the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan. She won the 2015 Young Arts Award in Spoken Theater and was named a U.S. Presidential Scholar in the Arts during her senior high school year. Dominique decided to pursue further studies at Cornell University, where she joined the Mu Gamma chapter of Delta Sigma Theta sorority and received her bachelors degree in Human Development with a minor in Inequality Studies. Her career took off with her feature film debut in 2018, and by 2020, Dominique had secured her place in Atlanta with her family, ready for the opportunities to come.
