Dolores Fonzi was born Dolores María Fonzi on 19 July 1978 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and spent her formative years in the suburban town of Adrogué after her parents' separation, where she was raised alongside her brothers Tomás and Diego. Raised in a culturally rich environment, she discovered a passion for performance early on and enrolled at the renowned acting school of Carlos Gandolfo, where she honed the craft that would launch her career. At just seventeen, she made her television debut in the series La nena (1996), and two years later caught the eye of Cris Morena, securing the role of Clara Vázquez in the wildly popular teen drama Verano del ’98.
