Diamond White (born January 1, 1999) is an American singer and actress who has built a multifaceted career across music, television, and film. She first entered the public eye in 2007 when she starred in a Chicago‑based production of The Color Purple that toured nationally, demonstrating early theatrical talent that would later translate to major stage roles such as young Nala in Disney’s The Lion King musical at age eleven. White’s breakthrough in mainstream entertainment arrived in 2012 when she auditioned for the second season of the U.S. version of The X Factor, delivering powerful renditions of songs like James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing”; under the mentorship of Britney Spears she advanced to the live shows and ultimately finished in fifth place.
