He made his debut in School Ties (1992), which starred budding actors such as Brendan Fraser, Matt Damon, Chris O'Donnell, and Ben Affleck. His powerful portrayal of the leader of campus neo-Nazi skinheads in John Singleton's Higher Learning made a significant impact. Furthermore, he reunited with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon for Good Will Hunting (1997). In Pitch Black (2000), he voiced William J. Johns, a character that affirmed his skill.
