Carlos Cuevas Sisó, born on 27 December 1995 in Montcada i Reixac, Barcelona, Spain, is a prolific Spanish actor whose career spans television, film, and theater. From the tender age of five he appeared in commercials, and by 2002 he debuted in the feature film La mujer de hielo, marking the start of a remarkable trajectory that would see him become a familiar face on Catalan and national screens. His breakthrough came in 2005 when, at just nine years old, he captured the Catalan audience’s imagination as Biel Delmàs in the beloved TV3 series Ventdelplà, a role he sustained until the series concluded in 2010. Following this early success, Cuevas diversified his portfolio, contributing as a dubbing actor for television, radio, and film advertising campaigns, and venturing onto the stage at Teatre Borràs in 2011 with the play Madame Melville, starring alongside Clara Segura and Montse Vellvehí under the direction of Àngel Llàcer. His filmography expanded in 2009 with the role of Dani in Cruzando el límite, and he continued to blend screen and stage work, appearing in the Antena 3 mystery series Luna, el misterio de Calenda (2012) and performing in notable theatrical productions at the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya and Teatre Lliure, including Els nostres tigres beuen llet and Barcelona, which explored the tragic bombing of the city during the Spanish Civil War. The period 2015‑2019 marked his rise to national prominence through the critically acclaimed series Merlí, where he portrayed Pol Rubio, a character that resonated so strongly it was later dubbed into Spanish for broadcast on laSexta and spun off into Merlí: Sapere Aude. In 2020 he joined the Netflix anthology Someone Has to Die as Alonso Aldama, and in 2022 he led the LGBT‑themed romantic comedy Smiley as Álex, demonstrating his versatility across genres.
