Callum Keith Rennie is a British-born Canadian actor, renowned for his work across numerous films and television series. He was born on September 14, 1960, in Sunderland, England, but moved to Canada at age four. He started his acting career at a relatively late age of 25, after his passion was ignited while working at the campus radio of the University of Alberta. His breakthrough role was as punk rocker Billy Tallent in the music mockumentary Hard Core Logo (1996), followed by a starring role as Det. Stanley Raymond Kowalski on Due South (1997–99). His diligent portrayals secured him a Genie Award for Best Actor following his performance in Last Night (1998). Rennie has not showed signs of stopping, embodying a wide array of characters in Battlestar Galactica, Californication, The Man in the High Castle, and Jessica Jones. Moreover, he recently played Commander Rayner on Star Trek: Discovery (2024). His work has earned him ample recognition including a Gemini Award and four Leo Awards.

Rennie's career began on stage and gradually transitioned to screen, first appearing in the indie Canadian film Purple Toast in 1993.
