Andrew Ahn: Movies & Box Office

Andrew Ahn (born March 10, 1986) is an acclaimed American film director and screenwriter, revered for his works on different feature films, which includes award-winning titles like 'Spa Night' (2016), 'Driveways' (2019), and 'Fire Island' (2022). He initially gained recognition after writing, directing, editing, and producing a short film entitled 'Andy', which won the Best Narrative Short award at the 2011 San Diego Asian Film Festival. The said film also screened at various international film festival events, showcasing Ahn's talent to the world._ In 2012 Ahn once again had the opportunity to perform multiple roles for a short movie 'Dol (First Birthday)'. He experimented with different creative facets and also won numerous awards for his narrative short film, establishing a steady pace for his professional career. As an advocate, Ahn utilized his platform to voice out for peace, signing an open letter along with other artists for ceasefire during the Israeli bombardment of Gaza in 2023. Ahn not only presents his narrative style through his script but also devotes his skills in editing and assisting post-production for various documentaries. He was an editor on the documentary 'I Am Divine (2013)' and was a post-production assistant on the documentaries 'Vito (2011)' and 'Tab Hunter Confidential (2015)', accentuating his diverse contribution to the realm of cinema.
