Amitbhai Anilchandra Shah, popularly known as Amit Shah, is an influential Indian politician currently serving as the 32nd Union Minister of Home Affairs and the first Minister of Co-operation. Born on 22nd October 1964, he has been a pillar in the Indian political landscape with his strategic and influential roles in the Bharatiya Janata Party. From 2014 to 2020, he served as the 10th president of the Bharatiya Janata Party. In recent times, he has been an archetypal figure in the passing of contentious legislation like the abrogation of Article 370 and the introduction of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act in 2019.
