Aline Küppenheim was born Aline Adriana Küppenheim Gualtieri on 10 August 1969 in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain to a French father of German ancestry and a Chilean mother of Italian descent. Her childhood was itinerant, traveling across Europe as her parents worked as artisans, and she spent time drawing with chalk on the streets of Paris, a hobby that hinted at her later artistic sensibilities. In the early 1980s she returned to Chile, attended La Girouette School in Las Condes and subsequently honed her craft at Fernando González’s academy‑club, laying the foundation for a prolific acting career. Küppenheim’s television debut came in 1991 with the successful Canal 13 telenovela Ellas por ellas, where she portrayed Victoria “Vicky”. She quickly became a fixture on Chilean screens, moving to TVN for series such as Trampas y caretas and Jaquemate, and later returning to Channel 13 for productions like Champaña, El amor está de moda (where she also sang the main theme), Marrón Glacé and Eclipse de luna. A landmark moment arrived with her antagonistic role in La Fiera, after which she accompanied her husband, actor Bastián Bodenhöfer, to France while he served as cultural attaché. Upon her 2004 return to Chile she starred in Destinos cruzados, Entre medias and the Chilean adaptation of Montecristo, confirming her versatility across genres and networks.
