Adam Demos: Movies & Box Office

Adam Demos (born 24 May 1985) is an Australian actor best known for his roles as August Walker on the American television series UnREAL(2018) and Brad in the Netflix series Sex/Life(2021–2023). Demos was born in Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. His father is of Greek descent. Although Demos had an early interest in acting, he initially worked as a construction laborer in his father's demolition business, the Wollongong steelworks, a roofing company, and in Bondi's Hotel Ravesis. At the age of 23, he worked up the courage to enroll in acting classes at the Screenwise Film & TV Acting School in Sydney, a decision that was encouraged by his mother. In 2012, Demos entered the entertainment industry and earned recognition by playing the role of 'Solo Man' in iconic Australian soft drink advertisements. He had several small roles in Australia until he landed a significant role in 2017 as Nate Baldwin in the ABC Australia drama Janet King. The actor ventured to Vancouver to begin filming the international production UnREAL, describing the experience as confusing due to its complex plot structure. Demos then went on to work alongside Christina Milian in Netflix's Falling Inn Love which was filmed in New Zealand. In 2020, he starred in another Netflix series Sex/Life, inspired by the book 44 Chapters About 4 Men by BB Easton, a role he secured with the help of Stacy Rukeyser, who also worked on UnREAL. In May 2022, he starred in A Perfect Pairing, a film about an executive of an American wine company who finds an unexpected connection on her business trip to Australia.
