On a rainy night, Kumara Puneeth Rajkumar and Natesha Yogesh slip away from NIMHANS and step into the crowded streets of Bangalore, their past deeds still shrouded in mystery. They find a temporary home at Shishupala’s residence, where Sadhu Kokila plays the role of Shishupala, and they take up jobs at a local petrol bunk to keep themselves afloat. The quiet rhythm of their new life is soon brightened by the arrival of Bharathi Bhavana, who sweeps into Kumara’s world with a mix of curiosity and warmth. Initially, she misreads his stubborn, unsettled ways, but her perception shifts the moment she sees him quietly helping people in need, including her. She pursues him to become his girlfriend, yet Kumara remains cautious, wary of the shadows that trail him. Still, the people in his neighborhood insist that Bharathi is sincere, and their faith nudges him to take a chance on this budding romance.

Together with his friends, Kumara launches a practical venture: a call-and-delivery service for groceries where customers place orders and the crew delivers them for a modest service charge. Their enterprise grows, and with growth comes risk. While distributing their advertisements, they narrowly escape a van full of goons led by Ravishankar who are intent on finding Kumara and Natesha. The business prospers enough to draw attention from those who would rather see them fail. In a bid to spread their presence, Shishupala pushes an advertisement in a magazine featuring their photo, a move that precipitates trouble as the goons close in on their store. Just when things look their bleakest, a childhood friend arrives in Bangalore with news that unsettles Kumara and those who know him.

The danger intensifies as the neighborhood starts to believe the rumor that Kumara is mentally ill. Bharathi learns of this claim, and Kumara decides to lay out the truth of his past. He explains that he was born into a wealthy family and was exceptionally bright, but his father schemed to marry another woman by presenting Kumara’s mother as unstable. The stepmother and her relatives infiltrate the household and seize control, while Kumara’s education is halted by his father and the scheming kin. The grandfather, aware of the conspiracies, tries to safeguard Kumara with the help of his henchman Era, sending the boy away for a better life. The plan falters when the stepmother’s family murders Kumara’s grandfather. The young Kumara remains unaware of these cruelties until Era returns years later to reveal the full truth. Enraged by the betrayals, Kumara confronts his family at first, but is captured by their henchmen and admitted to a mental hospital, where bribe-driven doctors impose harsh shock treatments that sap his strength. A perceptive doctor in the asylum Girish Karnad notices his plight and urges him to flee to a place where no one knows his history, offering a chance at a new life and new relationships. With this counsel, Kumara decides to escape, and in the process, Natesha reappears, whom Kumara once saved from a serious stroke, reinforcing their bond.

Back home, Kumara discovers that his grandfather had transferred all the property into his name, a fact that keeps his family hunting for him to claim the estate. Kumara shares his plan with Bharathi and contemplates leaving the city to escape the long reach of old enemies. Yet Bharathi refuses to run; she chooses to stand by him and fight rather than flee. In a decisive confrontation, Kumara faces his pursuers, pushing back against the threats and choosing a path that protects the people he loves. He ultimately transfers the property to the family, sending a clear message that his life will be lived on his own terms within the city’s boundaries, and that he will not be shaken by the ghosts of his past. In the end, the couple reaffirms their commitment to each other, balancing love with a hard-won resolve to stay, endure, and build a life together in Bangalore.
