Women of the Prehistoric Planet 1966

A spacefaring crew from an advanced civilization is returning home after an extended voyage, carrying both humans and Centaurians who were rescued from a devastated homeland. The mission is framed as a hopeful reintroduction, with the Centaurians expected to be absorbed into the parent culture of the explorers.

One of the ships in the fleet is hijacked by a handful of Centaurian passengers, and the vessel crash-lands on a prehistoric world orbiting the Solaris system. In response, the remaining ships turn back, following orders that are later countermanded as they race to search for survivors.

When the rescuers finally reach the planet again, they encounter the descendants of the original crash survivors, their arrival explained by a simple, if dramatic, version of time dilation. On the rescued ship, Linda, a Centaurian, is drawn to a brave member of the rescue team, Tang after he saves her from drowning, sparking a forbidden, unlikely romance that transcends species and origin.
