After a night at a disco, 17-year-old Finn is struck by a car driven by Maxim Vollert, an aspiring judge. Finn abandons the seemingly unharmed man, unaware that he later dies from internal injuries. Finn’s brother, Mike, burdened by guilt for allowing his intoxicated brother to walk home alone, encounters Sylvie Vollert at Finn’s grave. Sylvie had been in the car with her husband during the accident, and a passionate relationship develops between Mike and Sylvie. As Mike investigates, he grows suspicious that Sylvie was involved in his brother’s death, leading to a confrontation and revealing a complex web of secrets and consequences.
