The premise of William Kelly’s War without spoilers.
During World War I, young farm boys Billy, Jack, and their cousin Paddy enlist and are deployed to Europe. Billy's exceptional marksmanship leads them to become a successful sniper team, celebrated for their skill in taking down enemy soldiers. However, while they fight overseas, their family farm back home faces a growing threat from a gang of cattle thieves. The boys’ wartime heroism is juxtaposed with the danger awaiting their return, suggesting that conflict will persist even after the war concludes.
