The sequel follows Shinkai, who is asked by a fugitive to escort the man’s young son to his grandfather, the master of a jū‑jitsu dojo during Japan’s Taishō era. Soon he clashes with a gang extorting local gambling profits, and they enlist Ryōtatsu—the karate priest Shinkai blinded in the first film—to exact revenge. Featuring Wakayama Tomisaburō’s expert swordplay, the ultra‑violent entry is hailed as the series’ best and remained unavailable on home video until now.
