Ah-bin, an insurance agent who lived to his forties, unexpectedly finds himself at the center of a lucrative, yet morally questionable, scheme. He discovers he can significantly impact people’s lives simply by processing insurance policies. The plan begins when loan shark Mr. Hsi recognizes the potential for profit, proposing a system where Hsi pays the premium, Ah-bin handles claims, and the insured essentially sell portions of their lives for financial gain. This arrangement seems beneficial for all involved, but the consequences are far-reaching.
