What Is Under the Skin of the Night About?

During a routine wander through 1970s Tehran, unemployed street‑kid Ghasem Siah meets an American tourist on her last day. Though they cannot speak each other's language, they become companions, and she agrees to spend the night with him. With no place for Ghasem and her departure at dawn, they roam the shimmering yet unforgiving streets of a modernizing Tehran, seeking a brief moment of intimacy as time runs out.
