Tom Weaver is a financial analyst under mounting stress, his life fraying at the edges as he wrestles with a high-stakes, morally murky deal and a nagging fear that his wife may be unfaithful. He has just ended an affair with coworker Rebecca and is torn about a shady ten-million-dollar business arrangement involving his boss, Gavin Matheson. A troubling clue arrives when he finds identical motel keys in Molly Weaver’s purse and in his boss’s car, pushing him to believe a betrayal is underway. He confronts his wife, who denies the affair, and he chooses to keep his own plans hidden as he heads to the building to see the deal through, chasing the lure of wealth even as trust dissolves.

Under immense pressure, he shouts at a kindly security guard, then descends five levels into the building’s underground world. At midnight, he reaches E-6 and faces his boss, who warns that backing out would cost millions. Tom quits the deal and heads toward his car, only to discover his own world collapsing around him: his vehicle is vandalized and left immobile, and a massive six-thousand-pound 6000-pound second-generation Chevrolet K5 Blazer SUV lurks in the shadows, its driver concealed behind tinted glass. The driver is a psychotic killer with a single aim: to prevent Tom from leaving alive. The chase erupts in a brutal, relentless rhythm as Tom ducks through the maze, the truck’s horn blares, and the driver taunts him. The stairwell is chained shut, the elevators are out of service, and every doorway seems to funnel him into a trap.

Desperation drives Tom to plead for help from a departing coworker, but the woman mace-sprays him and darts away. Drenched in pepper spray, he discovers the driver has attached a hose to the truck’s exhaust, steadily pumping deadly carbon monoxide into the garage. He crawls into a nearby truck to avoid the fumes, only to be nearly mowed down by the relentless vehicle as it reappears from the shadows. He stumbles upon the dead body of the woman who had maced him earlier, a grim reminder that no one in this garage can be trusted. The driver’s single-minded pursuit continues, and Tom realizes that escape will require wits, nerve, and a willingness to turn the garage into a deadly arena.

The path to survival twists through a tense, cat-and-mouse sequence that includes a wrecking-ball of near-misses with construction equipment and the looming threat of the oversized Blazer. A repo man appears, complicating matters with misdirection and fear; the two engage in a dangerous game that ends badly for the repo man, who is fatally impaled on nails amid a freight of metal. Tom narrowly survives long enough to seize the emptied pistol from the repo man and presses on, convinced that someone inside the garage is orchestrating the danger against him. A confrontation with Victor, another security guard who seems to harbor a grudge, intensifies the paranoia as Tom fights to stay one step ahead of the truck. The pursuit intensifies level by level, and at one point the truck rams him toward a wall, nearly pinning him in place.

The shocking truth finally surfaces: Eddie, the paranoid security guard who has watched Tom for hours and seen him as a rival for affection and attention, is the killer. Driven by loneliness and resentment, Eddie snaps and orchestrates a deadly purge that culminates in a last, deliberate confrontation with Tom. Molly is found bound and gagged inside the toll booth, and Tom, despite a broken leg, fights to reach her and free her before Eddie can finish them both. As Eddie smashes the toll booth with the truck, the lights of authority arrive, and Tom uses a police car to trap and wreck the monster vehicle. He retrieves a gun and takes aim, ready to shoot Eddie through the windshield, but the authorities intervene, and Eddie shoots himself rather than surrender.

In the aftermath, Molly and Tom share a hard-won embrace atop the garage. She asks, with a mix of relief and disbelief, “where did you park?” and the moment lingers as they cling to each other, grateful to be alive and finally safe from the nightmare that began in the quiet corners of a financial world and spiraled into a fight for their lives.
