Three Arabian Nuts 1951

The Stooges—[Moe Howard], [Larry Fine], and [Shemp Howard]—work as warehouse hands at the busy Superior Warehouse and Storage Company, handling a shipment of Arabian antiques bound for a client. They travel to the residence of John Bradley [Vernon Dent] to deliver the goods, bringing their usual mix of rough humor and teamwork to the job.

During the unpacking, Shemp uncovers a curious item tucked away among the crates, initially mistaking it for a syrup pitcher. As he cleans it, the object reveals itself to be a magical lamp, and with a flash of light, a djinni materializes, a startling surprise to the group. The Genii [Wesley Bly] appears, and the Stooges quickly sense that this is no ordinary trinket.

The lamp’s power attracts trouble as two Arabian adversaries, Hassan [Dick Curtis] and Ahmed [Philip Van Zandt], close in, eager to seize the magical artifact for themselves. Unaware of the lamp’s true capabilities, Mr. Bradley unwittingly hands it over to Shemp, pulling the Stooges deeper into a perilous, magical predicament. Moe remains skeptical, while Larry and Shemp start to grasp that the lamp is more than a novelty.

With the Genii’s sly ingenuity, the would‑be thieves are thwarted in clever, fantastical ways rather than brute force. The lamp proves its worth, and the Stooges find themselves buoyed by a surprising stroke of luck. In the denouement, the trio—accompanied by their allies—enter a new chapter with a million dollars in hand, deciding to take a carefree vacation and celebrate their unexpected windfall.

Bradley’s perspective collapses into dazed disbelief as the events unfold; he is left to come to terms with his unwitting role in setting the Stooges on their unlikely path to fortune, even as he mutters about the consequences and, in a comically self-inflicted moment, tempers his frustration with a hammer. >
