What Is The Witnesses About?
The premise of The Witnesses without spoilers.
On Santiago’s outskirts, slum residents have for years paid small fees to a developer who promises legal title to the plots beneath their homes. He sells land he doesn’t own; when a resident confronts him, the developer shoots the man before the community. The witnesses must decide whether testifying will endanger their already precarious lives.
