Ten‑year‑old Bruce Lee plays Kid Cheung, an orphan who survives by selling comics from a stall in the slums. He lives with his two siblings under the care of Uncle Ho, a schoolteacher. When wealthy benefactor Hung Pak‑ho surveys the district to build an orphanage, his convoy is robbed by the notorious gang leader Blade Lee. Cheung aids Blade’s escape, gaining his trust, but Uncle Ho urges him to return the stolen gold necklace. Impressed, Hung hires Ho as his private secretary, creating a clash of loyalties and moral choices.
