Set in 1870s Montana, the story begins just before the execution of Isaac Broadway. He tasks his estranged son, Henry, with a perilous mission: to murder the man responsible for falsely accusing him. Driven by a desire to honor his father's request, Henry journeys to the isolated town of Trinity.
