Jack Warden, Lou Diamond Phillips and Stan Shaw play three patients in a Los Angeles mental institution who are cast as the Three Wise Men in a Christmas pageant. Suddenly convinced they are the biblical Magi, they slip out of the facility on camels and wander the gritty streets of L.A. Their misguided quest culminates in a surprising Christmas miracle, as they bring unexpected aid to a group of homeless people on the city’s outskirts.
