The premise of The Spinach Overture without spoilers.
During a rehearsal of the opening of the Poet and Peasant Overture—spiced with the Popeye theme and “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad”—Popeye’s band is interrupted when Maestro Bluto arrives from the next studio to conduct and play violin, intent on embarrassing Popeye. Popeye’s playing is dreadful until he discovers the artistic boost that spinach provides, turning his performance around.
