The Sleeping Voice 2011
After the Spanish Civil War ended in April 1939, by November 1940 Spain is still crushed under the ruthless boot of dictator Franco. Pepita journeys from the rural province of Córdoba to Madrid to be near her sister Hortensia, who is seven months pregnant, imprisoned and haunted by the looming death sentence.
