The premise of The Planet of the Orchids without spoilers.
Based on Herbert W. Franke’s novel “The Orchid’s Cage,” the film shows a planet where humans have become immobile orchid-like plants, cared for by machines that supply all comforts. Devoid of need, they indulge in endless pleasure and slowly degenerate. When outsiders arrive, they join the frivolity and soon turn into orchids themselves.
