
In December 1941, on the Northwestern Front, a German tank column advances toward Moscow. During a mission to impede the enemy, pilot Nikolai Komlev's IL-2 is struck down and he crash-lands in a secluded forest. Surviving the impact, Komlev finds himself deep within hostile territory and faces a grueling test of physical and mental fortitude.
