The Picture of Dorian Gray (1915): Cast

The Thanhouser Company's two‑reel silent adaptation of Oscar Wilde's novel follows young Dorian Gray, whose portrait ages and bears the marks of his selfish, decadent life while his own appearance remains unchanged. Harris Gordon portrays Dorian with conviction, and Helen Fulton is effective as the tragic actress who captures his heart. The film’s artistic style compensates for the absence of Wilde’s famous epigrams.
