What Is The Peoples Account About?
The premise of The Peoples Account without spoilers.
In 1985 Britain faced three major riots—Brixton, Handsworth and Tottenham. The most violent erupted on Tottenham’s Broadwater Farm estate, killing PC Keith Blakelock and prompting numerous arrests. Both Brixton and Tottenham unrest were sparked by police shootings of black mothers. The Ceddo documentary, commissioned by Channel 4, filmed the Tottenham uprising but was never aired after the broadcaster objected to its accusations of police racism.
