Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. plays the master‑of‑disguise super‑sleuth Coke Ennyday, a scientific detective whose day is divided into “Sleep”, “Eat”, “Dope” and “Drinks”. He relies on cocaine for energy and even injects opponents to disable them. Assisting the police, he hunts an opium shipment hidden in “leaping fishes”, and rescues a fish‑blower girl from blackmail.
