The Music of Lennon & McCartney (1965): Cast

The 1965 Granada Television special honored the Lennon‑McCartney songwriting duo, premiering on 16 December and broadcasting nationally the next night. It featured artists lip‑syncing the pair’s hits, while the Beatles performed “Day Tripper” and “We Can Work It Out.” Peter Sellers delivered a comic take on “A Hard Day’s Night” in the style of Laurence Olivier’s Richard III.
