The Legend of Maula Jatt 2022

The film opens with the Jeeva Natt clan launching a brutal assault on the Haveli of Sardar Jatt, overpowering the residents and killing Jatt and his wife. Maula Jatt, Fawad Khan, the sole survivor, is raised by a woman named Daani. One day Moodha, Faris Shafi, takes Maula to his wrestling coach, and the coach, impressed by Maula’s raw talent, agrees to train him.

Maula grows up to become a famous wrestler, yet at night he is haunted by violent dreams of a past he cannot fully remember, with no clear memory of his family. Maakha Natt, Gohar Rasheed, one of Jeeva’s sons, terrorizes Maula’s village by kidnapping a girl and raping her in his haveli. Jeeva, now aging, decides who will lead the clan, but Daaro Natt, Jeeva’s daughter, declares that only Noori Natt, Hamza Ali Abbasi—the elder son of Jeeva who is in prison for his murderous obsessions—will become the ruler.

Before a fight, Maula is approached by an old man who tells him that he holds the answer to all his questions and asks him to meet him in the ruins of Sardar Jatt’s haveli. That night Maula, heavily intoxicated, loses a fight for the first time in his life, but Moodha is badly injured in the process and saves him. The next day Maula arrives at the ruins, where the old man reveals that he is the son of Sardar Jatt and hands him his father’s Gandasa. Maula returns to his village to find the Natt clan tormenting the people once more, and in a furious outburst he kills all the men. When Maakha comes to investigate the killings, he is humiliated and defeated by Maula.

Maakha’s sister Daaro reacts with anger and plots revenge, but Maakha, in a bitter twist, jumps from a ledge and takes his own life. The Natt clan redoubles its efforts to avenge the humiliation Maula has caused, while Maula tries to rally the villagers to stand up to their oppressors, even as many of them fear that the Natt clan’s wrath has brought death upon them.

Noori Natt, Hamza Ali Abbasi, renowned for his prowess in combat, is released from jail and declares that he has run out of worthy opponents. He soon learns of Maula, whose growing reputation for fighting prowess spreads far and wide.

At the villagers’ behest, Maula agrees to apologize to the Natt clan for the sake of safety, but as soon as he steps out of the village, Noori arrives to confront him. Moodha, unaware of Noori’s true identity, tells Noori that he was the one who humiliated his brother, and Noori quickly overwhelms Moodha in combat and kills him. Maula returns, vowing to kill Noori.

Maula journeys to the Natt haveli to challenge Noori, but is ambushed and captured by Jeeva Natt. Noori then turns on his father, killing Jeeva Natt, and proclaims Daaro as the clan’s leader; Daaro, however, is betrayed and killed by her own clan who frame Maula for the murder. When Noori discovers his sister’s death, he torches Maula’s village and takes everyone captive. In the climactic duel, Maula faces Noori, Noori falls, and Maula is hailed as the village’s hero.
