What Is The Last of the Mohicans About?
The premise of The Last of the Mohicans without spoilers.
Antique dealer Kohout is well‑meaning but stubborn, insisting on controlling his household according to old‑fashioned ideas. He ignores his wife’s wishes, his daughter Helena’s engagement, his other daughter Zdenka’s romance, and his son’s passion for swimming. Engineer Bečvář, courting Zdenka, sets a trap to win Kohout’s approval and is even offered her hand. When Kohout’s forester brother arrives in Prague, the brothers inadvertently exchange roles, leading the family to treat the patriarch as a kindly uncle.
