The premise of The Island of the Swedes without spoilers.
After an argument, Manuela ends her engagement with Maurizio and goes to a Mediterranean island where her friend Eleonora lives alone. Their closeness deepens into a romantic relationship. When Maurizio arrives to win her back, Manuela hesitates between him and Eleonora, and her choice to leave with Maurizio triggers a harsh reaction from Eleonora.
