The FBI’s War on Black America (1990): Cast

Through the FBI’s secret COINTELPRO, J. Edgar Hoover directed a campaign to thwart a “Black Messiah” and undermine Black political power in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Using declassified files, interviews and rare footage, the documentary examines how the program sought to discredit leaders and probes the agency’s possible involvement in the murders of Malcolm X, Fred Hampton and Martin Luther King Jr.
