What Is The Dead Boys’ Club About?
The premise of The Dead Boys’ Club without spoilers.
Toby, a Wisconsin graduate, spends a Manhattan summer with his cousin Packard after Packard’s lover John R. dies of AIDS. He receives John R.’s shoes; wearing them floods Toby with pre‑AIDS 1970s gay‑scene visions and a bolder gay confidence. The shoes take him to a bar, a night with Dick, and a waking‑up dilemma about his identity and the shoes.
