Falsely accused and condemned to the dreaded Château d’If, Edmond Dantès endures years of imprisonment alongside the enigmatic Abbé Faria. The Abbé, reputed mad, reveals the location of a hidden island treasure known only to him. After the Abbé’s death, Edmond fashions a daring escape by posing as the dead man’s body. Free at last, he embarks on a quest to recover the riches and use them to exact meticulous revenge on the jealous rivals who ruined his life.
