In 1941, to preserve strict neutrality, the Irish government reaches an accord with both Berlin and London to intern any soldier, sailor or pilot captured on Irish soil, irrespective of allegiance. All detainees are housed in a single camp, where Canadian pilot Miles Keogh and German pilot Rudolph von Stegenbeck, whose aircraft are downed in the same engagement, become unlikely companions.
