What Is The Black Brothers About?
The premise of The Black Brothers without spoilers.
In the mid-19th century, impoverished farmers in Switzerland’s Ticino region often sold their children to Milan to work as chimney sweeps. Young Giorgio is among them, forced to climb dark chimneys and clear soot with his bare hands. Despite the harsh conditions, he finds camaraderie with other boys and they form the association of Black Brothers. Together, they endure poverty and confront the street gangs of Milan, sharing experiences and finding strength in their shared plight, ultimately striving for a way back home.
