The premise of The Bathhouse of Malatily without spoilers.
Ahmad leaves rural eastern Egypt for Cairo to become self‑sufficient. He earns a law degree, secures an apartment for his family from an occupied town, and stays at Ali’s Malatily Hammam. There he becomes obsessed with Naeema, a prostitute, and befriends Raouf, a homosexual man. The film adapts Ismael Walieddin’s novel by Samar Habib.
