The All Together 2007

Chris Ashworth is a frustrated TV producer and self-proclaimed screenwriter who harbors a sharp dislike for British films that lean on quirky side characters and plastic gangsters. He tasks his unreliable flatmate, Bob Music, with guiding a string of estate agents around the house he’s trying to sell. Bob spends most of the day in the basement blasting loud music, and he swears this time he’ll actually stick to the plan: listen for the doorbell and usher every visitor inside without fail.

Over the course of the day, Chris wrestles with a difficult colleague at work, but the real trouble unfolds at home. Bob has, perhaps too literally, kept the plan—and the visitors—rolling: he has indeed let anyone inside. Among these uninvited guests are a pair of archetypal movie-style gangsters—an incompetent young Brit, Dennis Earle, and an incontinent American. The combination turns a routine house viewing into a precarious, almost farcical trap.

That evening, Chris returns to a scene straight out of a British gangster film: his flatmate, four estate agents, two Jehovah’s Witnesses, and a terrified children’s entertainer are all being held hostage by the unlikely pair. The living room becomes a nerve-wracking stage where miscommunication, bad timing, and a wavering sense of safety collide, pulling Chris into a crisis that tests his ambitions and his nerves.
