Dedicated to the selflessness of Mexican women, Rubén Gámez returns after three decades since La Formula Secreta with an impressionistic portrait of contemporary Mexico. Evocative of Godfrey Reggio’s Koyaanisqatsi, the film acts as a modern extension of the country’s muralist tradition, using vignettes, visual puns, cartoons and political commentary.
