Tulke, Khagendra Lamichhane is a cheerful, easygoing man who makes a simple living as a laborer in a remote village in Nepal. He enjoys life with a close-knit circle of friends—Hanuman, Tanke, Dhikare, and an old man—and the group often gathers at a local liquor shop to share drinks. Tulke works for Babu Raja, a wealthy village merchant who wields considerable power and acts as a dictator, seizing properties from many villagers. Two workers, Suke, Shushank Mainali, and Fuli Reecha Sharma serve him; Tulke also harbors a big crush on Fuli, though he struggles to express his feelings.

One day Tulke spots his friend Hanuman, Buddhi Tamang among Maoist rebels and starts urging him to let him join the rebel group. Meanwhile, Babu Raja and Binay, Rabindra Singh Baniya, use Fuli to manipulate Tulke and invite him to dinner to glean more information about Hanuman; Tulke, while intoxicated, reveals Hanuman’s secret. Fuli, Reecha Sharma saves Tulke by blaming him of molestation, humiliating him and exiling him from the village.

Exiled in Kathmandu, Tulke encounters a city gang leader and joins his crew, which recovers protection money, engages in theft, and even operates as fake election agents. The gang soon gets exposed, and the gang boss is killed in a police encounter, leaving Tulke as the sole survivor. He returns with the money to his village, only to find that his friends and the old man are missing.

The old man pleads with him to return to the city, and Tulke learns from Fuli that Hanuman was killed by Babu Raja and Binay, who want to crush the rebels and maintain their dictatorship. Tulke confronts Babu Raja and Binay, slapping Binay in a tense clash that highlights his stubborn loyalty to his friends and his village.

To protect themselves from rebels, Binay and Babu Raja decide to fund the rebellion, but the demand for money keeps growing. Binay enlists police help to wipe out the rebels, yet he is stunned to discover that Fuli, Suke, and Tanke are actual rebels. The ensuing confrontation pits rebels against the police, with Binay falling to the combined force. His father then meets with the minister to push for a broader crackdown on the rebellion.

A few days later, Fuli and Suke arrive at Tulke’s home and stash explosives there, setting the stage for a major confrontation. A brutal war between the rebels and the police, spurred by Babu Raja’s maneuvers, erupts across the village and surrounding area. In the violence, Suke kills Babu Raja but is shot and dies soon after. The fighting ends with heavy bloodshed and significant losses on all sides. The police arrest the surviving rebels, including Tulke, who is taken away with explosives found in his home. On the way, he is forced to identify Fuli as a rebel or not, and he refuses, choosing love over loyalty to the cause. Fuli leaves the village on a bus, and the film closes with Tulke reflecting on the price of rebellion and the cost of listening to one’s heart.
